This colloquium is not a debate but a sharing of information — where we hope to learn from each other.
I plan to present three topics
1. A comparison of the “fingerprints” (patterns of temperature trends) of IPCC models and IPCC data — in order to evaluate the extent of human contribution to greenhouse warming
2. An approach to overcome the uncertainties arising from the chaotic nature of climate models — in order to permit their validation
3. An investigation into the reality of reported warming episodes of the 20th century — and of their anthropogenic component
This will be followed by a discussion with Prof. Bart van den Hurk and Dr. Sybren Drijfhout.
